Collection: Photographs by Phoenix
“As an artist, every vision I capture through my camera's lens is a reflection of my heart being touched by the soul of wild places and their inhabitants.” ~Phoenix
For celebrated, internationally collected photographer Phoenix the extraordinary beauty of nature and wilderness is a wonder. Attempting to fix them in time is her passion. Known for her painterly approach to composition, light, color, and texture, she is the recipient of two Artist-In-Residence programs - The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Olive Stack Gallery in Ireland, two public art grants, nine public art awards, and many other prestigious art awards. The featured artist for the first Endangered Exhibit – United Kingdom as well as a virtual artist in residence for Endangered: Art4Apes supporting the Center for Great Apes, her conservation photography has been honored in more than 50 juried exhibits annually, showcased in 20 solo exhibits, including Everglades National Park Gallery and Collectors’ Gallery, featured in magazines and calendars worldwide, and can be found in private collections internationally. A native Miamian, Phoenix lives and works in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
“More than creating beautiful pieces of fine art photography, it’s always my intent to raise awareness of endangered and threatened species and habitats that we stand to lose in the natural world if we are not careful.” ~Phoenix
